Elder and Paton - The Bodyshop of the Future
Elder and Paton is approved for repair and servicing of Electric Cars!
The electric car has been around longer than most people think. Since energy and global warming has come to the goverments minds and the enviromental friendly vehicle is starting to draw attention.
One of the strongest choices for replacing the petrol powered cars, this vehicle is being developed by major car manufacturers across the world and will soon be available for wide purchase.
Electric cars were the first cars ever made and were developed in the year 1985. Since then, they have been replaced by cars running on internal deisel and petrol combustion engines and now electric cars have begun to go under development once again at the turn of the twenty-first century.
Most of the electric cars are run on large batteries. Electric cars of the future will most likely run on fuel cells depending on the chemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen.
The use of electric cars in the America and Britain has grown an average of 32 percent since 1990. The estimated growth after 2010 will most likely be greater than 54 percent , as more electric car models are being produced by major manufacturers.
While electric cars are certainly appealing from the environmental point of view, current models are not well-suited for long distance travel because they take several hours for their batteries to recharge, where before it would only takes about 15inutes to fill a car powered by deisel or petrol but it would reduce emissions in our atmosphere and make for a more healthy planet. They will also be less noise when recharged at home , work on in the car park.
